Job Description :
Roles and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to…

* Maintenance and support of current applications.
* Interface with clients to gather and document business and system requirements.
* Assist in creating working proof of concept for the project.
* Participate as an active member in project teams through full lifecycle including requirements gathering, technical assessments, package evaluation, technical design, development, knowledge transfer, launch and support.
* Assist for creating functional and technical specification documents.
* Facilitate an on-going technical workgroup meeting for all technical project participants.
* Research new products and technologies to determine fit with the overall application architecture.
* Contribute to the firm’s growth by participating in recruiting, business development activities and meetings and/or colleagues’ performance management.

Desired Candidate Profile :
Colnovation is looking for a candidate who can contribute to the team as a software developer possessing strong technical knowledge with zeal to learn and implement new technologies. The software developer will be responsible for converting the designs into a working code using his/her programming skills. The candidate should be well organized, self-motivated, reliable, independent worker needing limited managerial oversight. The candidate must be a team player and understand the need to work well with others. Ability to communicate clearly and thoroughly with staff, management, vendors, and clients as needed.

Some of the qualities that are being looked are as below:

* B.E./ B.Tech. in Computer Science, MIS, IT or equivalent major
* Expert in using most or all of the following ASP.NET 3.5, VB.Net, C#, SQL Server,Web Services, and XML for developing Internet/Intranet based applications
* Strong software development skills for web-based and n-tier applications. Experienced in the analysis and design of middle-tier components
* Proficient with AJAX, XML and XSLT
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
* 2+ years of experience of working with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports
* Should have ability to analyze customer functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into logical and physical architectures
* Prepare technical specifications according to business functional specifications.
* Solid coding, testing and debugging skills
* Research and analyze reported maintenance requirements
* Knowledge of software version and revision control practices
* Web technologies experience: ASP.NET, COM, XML/XSL, HTML, VB Script, Java Script, DHTML, LINQ
* Databases: Experienced in database programming in SQL Server (2000/2003/2005) using T-SQL and Data Transformation Systems (DTS). Oracle and PL/SQL experience is a plus.
* Development Tools: Microsoft Visual Studio.NET
* Operating System experience: Windows 2000/2003/NT/XP/Vista
* Programming languages needed: C#.NET,VB.NET, PL/SQL
* Web Servers: IIS
