Desired Skills:
• Willing to work in 24*7*365 production environment.
• Should have expertise in framing policies for Backups and implementation as per business requirement and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of recovery procedures including point-in-time recovery.
• Setting up and operation of monitoring process using wherever applicable DBA tools and alert mechanisms.
• Performance Trouble shooting issues (CPU and I/O).
• Shell scripting to automate the database activities.
• Performing latest upgrades (database level and Security level).
• Performing Migration to the latest versions.
• Patch installations

Technical Skills:
Installation, Configuration and L3 Troubleshooting expertise Sybase 12.X and 15 versions
across multiple platforms
Dump & Load databases
ASE Installation on UNIX
Database Recovery with dump and without dump
Performance Tuning (Query & Data)
Utility (DDL, BCP & DEFNCOPY)
Table/index Maintenance (DOL & APL)
Very good at troubleshooting complex problems on replication, RAC, etc
Experience with large scale Databases of sizes > 100 TB
L3 level expertise in handling DB Replication
Basic trouble shooting and architecture knowledge of MYSQL

Desired Skills:
• Good Hands on exposure in Oracle Administration Oracle database running on Sun Solaris to support Oracle database.

• Monitoring Database for fragmentation and correcting them
• Analyzing and advising on capacity planning based on transaction volumes and growth

• Creation of Primary Objects.

• Space management of existing files.
• Performance tuning in both Windows and Solaris environment, and migrating the data between Different Plat forms and different versions.
