Job Description :
About the Role
The person will be a part of the core team which is established in MIC.

Primary Responsibilities:
This position is for an Automation engineer to work as part of the McAfee Avert Labs Content Management team. This team maintains and develops the checks in XML using OVAL that feed data to the ePO in the form of benchmarks.

This is a very creative role, wherein checks are written not only for McAfee applications but also with 3rd party security product vendors.

Experience & Qualifications

Development responsibilities :
Work in co-operation with the development team to automate the checks written in OVAL.
Need to come up with own framework and ideas to replicate checks written in English to L10N languages.
Deliver automation scripts and activities associated to an acceptable level of quality.

Operational responsibilities :
Pro-actively monitor progress, report and address issues.
Come up with new ideas in improving and creating automation process.
Respond to new requirements as appropriate and deliver automation scripts accordingly.
Create, update and deploy new scripts whenever required.
Competencies / Skill sets required for the role:

Essential
Should have good security domain exposure.
Should be from a strong engineering background.
Must have experience in SVN (Sub Version control), preferably Tortoise.
Should be well versed with XML and XML editors
Should have strong knowledge of automation frameworks. (Keywords, Modularity, Custom)
Should have working knowledge of automation tools like QTP, QC etc
Strong scripting skills (bash, Perl, NASL, OVAL, Python, Ruby etc)
Should have good exposure to databases (SQL, Postgress SQL)
Thorough understanding of IP, SMTP, DNS, NFS (Networking)
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Should have good customer and results focus.
Should be value driven and very good team player.
Willingness to perform out-of-hours system support if required

Desirable
Some knowledge of Windows system administration.
Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML/CSS
Good knowledge of C/C++
Knowledge of L10N and I18N

Experience : 2 – 5 Years
Education : UG – Any Graduate, PG – Any PG Course
Location : Bengaluru/Bangalore
