Job Description :
Job Responsibilities Typical Duties:
• Monitor all platform availability and ensure all Daily Production is completed as schedule. This includes all FTP processing.
• Ensure all Special Requests are completed as requested.
• Review daily check off sheets.
• May provide guidance, train and audit work of less-senior staff operating the computer system and other peripheral equipment. Assist in recommending schedules for staff and equipment to obtain maximum usage.
• Manipulates controls to initiate and operate the computer. Monitors and diagnoses on-line system problems via use of various software tools. Initiates corrective action where possible.
• Obtains authorization from manager for equipment repair. Interfaces with vendors to ensure timely attention to maintenance concerns. Troubleshoots and provides advice on data center equipment problems.
• Compiles and maintains reports relative to computer operation as required. Reviews equipment logs and reports on equipment operation efficiency as required. Keeps management abreast of the condition of the computer equipment and the adequacy of scheduling.
• Gives proper turnover to the on-coming shift and shift lead. The turnover should be reviewed by exiting and oncoming shift lead prior to an individual leaving for that day.
• Ensure problem tickets are opened properly and timely with the correct severity.
• Monitor escalation procedures for all SEV 1, SEV 2 and SEV 3 tickets.
• Have an understanding of your client(s) and the Data Center Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and ensure your team has an understanding of the same information.
• Establishes, reviews, and revises operating procedures as required.
• Participates in system studies and implementations. Communicates technical alternatives to management and recommends appropriate actions.
• Insures UNIX Silo media is maintained on nights and weekends and Problems are identified and followed up until resolved.
• Validates system back-ups

Minimum Education Standard IS requirements for India
Minimum Certifications or Professional Credentials Any of the UNIX admin certifications
Desired Profile :
Provides operational support for systems hardware, peripherals and software within Perot Systems data centers and related facilities. Identifies, isolates, and resolves problems. Works in conjunction with the Technical support staff to implement immediate resolutions to more critical problems. Work with Operations personnel to identify areas of possible automation and/or improvement to provide better customer service, enhance problem resolution techniques. Understands and manages problems utilizing defined Problem and Change Management Policies and Procedures. Provides all or many of the following services: Monitor systems consoles for problems, manage systems availability, production scheduling and control, reports distribution, service level support, administration and controls, equipment operation, backup recovery, procedural documentation, and execution of the disaster recovery plan.
Typical of the Analyst level operates one or more computer systems and all associated peripheral equipment within data center or related facility. Monitors performance of on-line systems utilizing software support tools to complete all scheduled jobs in a timely manner. Interfaces with customers and appropriate support groups to escalate issues for resolution. Performs standard maintenance and repair. Reassigns job priorities according to precedent, policy, and procedure. Depending on assignment, may handle hardware or software support. Requires 3+ years of related experience in computer operations and thorough knowledge of emergency operating procedures, and/or equivalent combination of experience and education.
