Job Description :
Stonehill International School has a state of the art IT infrastructure for the school operations.

Skills required :
• 2-5 years of job experience as a support engineer
• Experience in designing user interface ERP like application
• Experience managing a Web CMS
• Good understanding and administration skills on RDBMS preferably in MySQL and MsSQL.
• Candidate must be strong in English communication and have good interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work long hours as required
• MySQL DBA, Oracle DBA, MCDBA or any other relevant vendor certification will be considered as an additional qualification

The position requires, but is not limited to, the following duties:
• Reports to IT manager

Primary Job Responsibilities
• The candidate shall maintain school management software, learning management software, Web CMS, Library Management Software
• Technical support of administration/ teachers/ librarians/ students for managing Portal content, data warehousing and design and archiving of curriculum driven DB forms and reports
• Communicating with the vendors with software support and warranty related issues
• Documents applications for operation and user support
• System Backup (regular) and Restoration (as per requirement)
• Monitors application servers for performance, suspicious activities and any type of failure.

Additional Job Responsibilities
• Supports IT Systems administrator with second level support
• Assists IT Manager with system design, implementation and integration as required
• Monitoring the server and service status
• Regular system auditing
• Contributes to preparing the yearly IT budget, inventories and equipment specifications and solicits quotations for new orders
• Provides training to the IT staff and education staff
• Assists Support Engineers for client support as required

Desired Candidate Profile :
We use Windows products, custom technologies and open source software. We support technologies such as: network storage, database, PABX, LAN, wireless LAN/WAN, LAN switching, WAN routing, firewall, IP QOS, content management and content filtering.

Our objective is to maintain and improve the technology that is used to enhance the learning environment in the school. Understanding the technology needs in a world class IB school is the biggest challenge.

Stonehill international School is looking for an IT Engineer for schools systems support i.e. software support for School management system, learning management system, Library Management system and the web CMS system. This will include administration, interface designing and report generation for these systems.

The person should also be performing basic systems administration tasks in both a Windows and Linux environment. This position requires excellent analytical skills and a quick learning ability. The successful applicant will have good application interface design experience and data base application administration skills. Systems administration skills in various platforms shall be considered as an added qualification. He or she will also need to have good communication and organization skills.
